The DA50 Super Star is the newest addition to Diamond’s complete line of aircraft. A 5-seat airplane, powered by a 350 hp turbocharged FADEC engine, certified to 25,000 feet, the Super Star is an ideal traveling aircraft.
“AirVenture visitors will be able to sit in the full-scale mockup to experience first-hand what this newest Diamond has to offer to families and business travelers alike,” explains Heike Larson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We will also announce a position reservation program – which means that pilots coming to Oshkosh will have an opportunity to be among the first to reserve one of these amazing planes.”
Diamond Aircraft’s AirVenture exhibit will also feature the full-size mock-up of Diamond’s personal light jet, the D-JET. “Our D-JET mock-up has been traveling the country to great reception by pilots everywhere. Pilots have told us how amazed they are at the spaciousness of the D-JET’s interior, and the pilot-friendly design,” says Peter Maurer, President of Diamond Aircraft and D-JET Corporation. “AirVenture visitors will have a chance to see for themselves that a Personal Light Jet can be a great step up from flying pistons and light twins. As we proceed towards certification in 2008, the D-JET is a jet that pilots can realistically aspire to fly, and can get delivery of soon, with a limited number of positions still available for late 2009 and into 2010.”
Diamond’s complete piston lineup, including the DA20-C1, DA40 XL, DA40 FP and DA42 Twin Star will be on static display, as well as be available for demonstration flights.
Diamond will also be hosting DiamondFest, an exclusive event for Diamond owners, at AirVenture. This year’s event will take place at the AirVenture Museum on Friday evening. Diamond owners are encouraged to register as soon as possible, as space is limited.
